The "Age-old" Question

Eeeeveryone in their natural born lives has asked this question. I don't care if you're the "BAD" person or the "GOOD" person. For a long time, this question has been a MYSTERY but yet it's right under our noses. First, let's get it out there what "BAD" really means here. When we think of bad, we think of murderers, thieves, rapists, liars, lovers of money, selfish people, whore-mongers, you get the gist right? So let's sum it up: sinners. Yuuup, that means people like us. We've all done some pretty "not good" things, yet, good things happened to us all. So why do good things happen to "BAD" people?

  1. What is good? BLESSINGS! We need to realize that God blesses ALL people no matter what they've done. YES. He is that good!
"For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened...So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him." -Matthew 7:7-11
    2.   GOD IS TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING! Good things happen to "bad" people because God is simply trying to get their attention. You may see them get a better job, a nicer car, or a new home. Some of them even become millionaires! But all of this isn't for nothing. God gives to those who are sinful because he wants them to recognize their need to change!
"Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?"- Romans 2:4
But what happens after the person refuses to change after God has been so good to them?
"But because you are stubborn and refuse to turn from your sin, you are storing up terrible punishment for yourself. For a day of anger is coming, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed."- Romans 2:5

   3. The devil is now trapping you with BLISS. My dear friends, this is where blindness comes in. It seems like this person is getting everything they want for their sins. NOT SO! God wants sooo badly for people to turn to Him, but after awhile the powers of Satan take full control. Your life seems perfect but that's only because you can't see the jail cell you're in. Just like a mouse is lured in with cheese, you have been lured into Satan's trap of BLISS.
"So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. 25They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen."- Romans 1:24
Now that you understand that all of this isn't for NOTHING, hopefully you will see life in a different light. Hopefully you won't let this "age-old" question discourage you from doing what is right. I won't go into Why Bad Things Happen to "GOOD" People just yet. But those of you who are controlled by your sinful nature and have received wonderful blessings from the Lord, you still have a chance to make the change He wants you to make so badly! Take heed.
